Write-in's are a creative meet-up which occur globally. They revolve around choosing a specific writing focus and gathering a group of motivated individuals to cultivate a space that fosters creation and open sharing. Attendees will leave the workshop with an inspired piece of writing, as well as the fuel to continue creating on their own.
In this workshop, we will be focusing on writing performance poetry in 5 easy steps. Attendees will be given instructions on each of the 5 steps, optional prompts to use, opportunities to share their progress, and tips for continued development of their poetry.
This workshop is great for all levels of writers, from those whom write poetry regularly to those curious to try out a new art form. All attendees are required to bring something to write with (notebook and pen, laptop, tablet, etc) and are welcome to bring their own pieces and ideas or use the prompts provided.
