Come celebrate the Winter Solstice with Zaidy for a ritual 108 rounds of Prana Flow Pranams – a practice of devotion in motion.
As we enter the darkest day of the year we are reminded to embrace the shadow and celebrate the reemergence of light – the rebirth of the sun.
Nam means “to bow,” Prana means “Life-force.” The Pranam practice is a sacred ritual practice that imbibes deep reverence as we fully surrender to the Earth and Life Force through prostrations and in turn receive the stabilizing qualities of the Earth to rise back up and renew.
The Winter Solstice is a time to draw inward, reflect and refocus your intentions and celebrate the transition back to the light. The Winter Solstice is at the bottom of the exhale, a time of offering and releasing into the stillness.
This practice is open to all levels and provides plenty of space to sustain the full practice without burning out.
RYT 500, Zaidy is a passionate and multi talented artist of embodiment. Inspired by the patterns of nature, Zaidy offers practices that awaken inherent devotion to the living experience of yoga. She is student and teacher of Prana Vinyasa, a lineage of practice that has evolved from Shiva Rea's interpretation and teaching of the Krishnamacharyan perspective, modern Somatics, Tantra, Ayurveda and Bhakti. As an embodiment facilitator and consummate student of experience, she provides creativity and support through the portals of her intellectual curiosity, embodied poetry, self-observation, life rhythms and her authentic voice. Zaidy is currently studying Ayurveda at the Alandi Ashram Gurukula in Boulder CO.
