Jess will lead you through a breath series, the Kriya for Elevation, and a Mantra Meditation.

What is Kriya Yoga? Kriya is a word which means “action with awareness” - thus the class set is a physical, vital, mental, intellection, and spiritual sadhana (or discipline) aimed to help one remember their true Self, pure Witness consciousness, in order to let go of false egoic identification with the body and mental movements. The class will incorporate awareness into the practices of Asana (physical postures as in hatha yoga), pranayama (breathing techniques), meditation (mental focus and visualization), mantra (repetition of syllables and sound), and self-study.

Practicing these techniques will grant you more control over your life and strengthen your intuition and power of healing. You can expect to leave class enjoying greater vibrancy, a stronger nervous system, more energy, and a relaxed, peaceful demeanor.

This class will be accessible to everyone, regardless of whether you've experienced Kriya yoga, mantra meditation, or breathwork. It will be beginner-friendly, yet advanced practitioners will value the fundamental emphasis to deepen their presence ability to drop into the moment.

Note: There will be practice of breath of fire in this yoga set. Breath of fire is not recommended for women who are pregnant or within the first 3 days of their moon cycle. A more gentle, circular breathing technique can be used in place of breath of fire should women with these conditions be joining us for class. Please inquire with Jess if you have any questions about this.
