Courage Club (Virtual)

We help people rewire their relationship to fear and build the courage to live the way they want.

Courage Club is throwing out the playbook and shifting our regular event to a special gathering designed to meet you exactly where you are.

Join us as we risk loving, acting fiercely to address violence against Black lives, having hard conversations, tending to friends, and healing ourselves more boldly than ever before.

After an opening ritual in community with the whole group, you’ll get to choose what support would be best for you.

Need to move energy and return to your body? Guest facilitator Manuela Welton—who has led movement experiences at each of our online gatherings—will take center stage offering an extended dance and somatics session in the main Zoom room.

Want a space to verbally process emotions and experiences? Courage Club founder Galen Bernard will lead small breakout room discussions. You’ll have the opportunity to share recent experiences and clarify how you desire to move forward next.

Whether you’re seeking support in holding the grief and trauma that’s so present right now or sustaining fire and power that you’re feeling, we’ll gather to build that courage together.

GUEST FACILITATOR MANUELA WELTON:

Born in Bogota, Colombia, Manuela has dedicated her life to exploring the connectivity between humans through ritual and healing. Her immersions in different cultures in 26 countries over the last decade has informed her approach to renewing connection to spirit and opening the higher self. She has spent the last ten years in dedicated study of healing modalities ranging from shamanistic studies to intuitive touch to dance and movement therapy.

COURAGE CLUB FOUNDER GALEN BERNARD:

Galen is out to create antidotes to fear. He has helped people throughout the world—creators and creatives, students and seniors, the bold and the just beginning—discover the thrill on the other side of what they thought they could not do. He trained in peer support as a director at NAMI Western Carolina, a chapter of the largest grassroots mental health org in the U.S. As a kid, he was so afraid of the dark he needed a nightlight for sleepovers. Then he learned to love starry skies.
