Reiki Self Care Workshop

Alternative healing modalities are gaining more and more popularity in western culture. From Ayurveda to acupuncture and cupping, ancient techniques are being revived to support the process of healing needed in modern society.

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy"

Reiki is explained as the Universal Life Force. A practitioner uses the energy from the universe to pull in all the good and remove all the stagnant energy from the body. Practioners use the life force that is within and surrounding the body to assist in the healing process. Reiki can help heal trauma, emotional imbalances, align chakras (energy centers) and heal physical pain.

In this workshop you will learn how reiki works, how it can be used to heal, and how to use it on yourself without needing a practioner.

Reiki history & historical background

Chakras and how they can affect your mood & physical wellbeing

Self care practices for relieving stress, anxiety, personal balance and sleep

Teaching of self care hand positions for all of the above plus our "auto-reset button"
